Grand Central Station
Centralized in a state-of-the-art learning lab, this multi-funded, intensive, academic intervention program utilizes four steps of intervention, offering ANY struggling learner the intensity of services needed for success. A 2003 Promising Practice, GCS has consistently reduced the failure rate for thousands of at-risk students by an average of 60-70%. To date, more than 200 schools across Texas have received intensive training on the implementation of this model program. Rally to Read The Center for Learning & Development (CLD) has designed a reading remediation program built upon research by the National Institutes of Health. The program is primarily technology-based and incorporates the five skill areas deemed to be imperative to any balanced, research-based reading program: phonological awareness, phonics, fluency/rate, vocabulary, and comprehension. In addition, the program includes components which inspire a love for reading. |
